• Beach Barber Tract – An older development,
built around the turn of the century. An interesting mix
of homes within easy walking distance of the beach.
Prices start at around $950,000. Although there has been
considerable redevelopment, homes in this community
enjoy historical significance.
• Country Club – Spectacular views and large
parcels of land, this is one of the more exclusive La
Jolla neighborhoods. Residents enjoy spectacular golf on
a course commanding phenomenal views.
• La Jolla Farms – Huge, remodeled homes, some of
the most expensive and largest parcels of real estate in
La Jolla. Blacks Beach is secluded, and “clothing
optional.” Residents have keys to a private gate.
• La Jolla Mesa – Homes command views to the
south, as well as city, bay, and beach views. Single
family detached homes were built mainly in the 60's and
70's.
• Lower Hermosa - Includes Windansea Beach.
Residents enjoy quiet, palm lined streets with direct
access to the balmy Pacific. One of the nicest
residential areas in La Jolla this neighborhood was
developed from 1920 - 1980. Homes have been built in a
variety of styles on ample sized lots. Some have
wonderful ocean views, others are right on the water.
• Muirlands – Most parcels of land in this
subdivision are rather large in comparison to La Jolla’s
other neighborhoods. Most have panoramic ocean views to
the west or southwest.
• Soledad South - Some of the most affordable
housing in La Jolla. Homes were built in the 50's -
70's. There are also a number of condominium complexes.
• Upper Hermosa – A quiet neighborhood. Residents
